Gold Country Entertainment (GCE) began as Fog City Entertainment (FCE) in the 1990’s. In 1996, FCE began performing at Bay Area events with the simple business principle of providing professional, customer-focused services for private parties and corporate events. The company was founded by Russ Catanach, who has worked with major Bay Area Radio stations including Alice@97.3, Star 101.3 (then K101) and Kiss-FM. He was the first DJ. Almost 20 years later, FCE was owned by Michael Santillan—also a DJ—who performed at over 300 events annually. Michael expanded the company beyond the Bay Area to service the greater Los Angeles Area, Monterey Bay Area, Sacramento, and the Central Valley.
FCE veteran DJ Ashley Good, who joined the company in 2003, took over ownership in 2020. In 2022, Ashley expanded the company into the Sierra Foothills, where she now calls home. Gold Country Entertainment (GCE) was launched in 2023 to offer the same great FCE services with competitive pricing to the Sacramento Valley, Gold Country, and Lake Tahoe Regions.

ASHLEY GOOD - OWNER
Originally from Cleveland Ohio, Ashley moved West to pursue her broadcasting dream in California where she enjoyed several years live on the air in San Francisco at Live 105 (The New Alt 105) and at 100.5 FM in Sacramento.
She has been a resident DJ at Fog City Entertainment since 2004 and purchased ownership of the company in January, 2020. Now she runs the show at Gold Country Entertainment as well.
Ashley’s professionalism, expertise, and love of music combined with her outgoing personality, illuminates her skills as an entertainer, emcee and DJ. Whether it is reading the crowd or specifically playing your favorites, Ashley is conscientious of your needs and enthusiastic to make your event a memorable experience.
In addition to her live radio experience, like a boss Ashley received her B.Sc. in Biology and graduated with honors from Stanford University. She subsequently researched honey bee ecology and published her findings in the journal PLOS One. Ashley also holds a M.Sc. in psychology, and works with a silicon valley autism nonprofit. In her free time, Ashley enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, and riding her motorcycle. Ashley is an animal lover, volunteer dog trainer, and regularly attempts to bond with her reluctant cat, Mijo.
